This amazing, very rare orchid is a close relative of Dendrophylax lindenii, commonly known as the “Ghost Orchid”. Dendrophylax fawcettii is a much easier-to-grow species with a unique gray/green flower. This species has a tendency to keiki often. Native only to the Cayman Islands, the Dendrophylax fawcettii is listed as being critically endangered in the wild and is on the list of the top 100 Most Threatened Species in the world. *All of our plants are grown in the United States and guaranteed to not be wild harvested.
You are purchasing a mount with several young plants that have been hardened off and are attaching to their cedar mount. Dendrophylax fawcettii thrives [requires] in high humidity situations (>78%) and in moderately bright indirect light. Water by misting weekly when actively growing and bi-weekly when dormant (fall/winter). A well-vented terrarium is best to cultivate this plant.
Due to the difficult-to-grow nature of this plant, we are not able to guarantee it past its live-arrival guarantee.
We have a very limited supply of these extremely rare beauties and may not restock once sold out.
