Dossinochilus 'Turtle Back'

(Dossinia marmorata var dayii x Anoectochilus form.)

-Jewel orchid

This orchid has a similar look to Macodes with a deeper green in the leaves and wider veining patterns. The veining is slightly more spread out than the Macodes petola and thicker lines making the metallic color more visible. The underside of the foliage has beautiful hues of pink and maroon. The leaves are typically light green when young but will become darker once established. The Dossinochilus 'Turtle Back' is distinctly good looking in flower as well. This is one of the faster growing Jewel orchids and is considered a medium sized variety making them great for vivariums and terrariums.
